Spring Equinox
The Spring Equinox is the point when the day and night are equal in length, and from this point the days will get longer as we edge towards summer. This balance between day and night reminds us to find the balance between rest and action, especially when the sun is out and we want to rush into doing ALL THE THINGS! I find it helpful during this time to reflect on how nature approaches this shift in season - the small buds cautiously sprouting on plants, carefully starting to unfurl their leaves, and baby animals starting to be born - a huge amount of growth but still delicate & fragile.
This season is also associated with the air element which brings us this breath of fresh air to clear away the stagnant energy of winter, and maybe the winds of big change. This element is playful, curious, childlike and creative so try and approach changes or blocks from this mindset, while remaining grounded so you donβt get blown away!
As with all changes of the season this is a great time to pause and reflect, and I hope these journal prompts will help with that:
And to help you get in the headspace for journalling Iβve recorded a Yoga Nidra meditation for you:
We had our celebration circle for the Spring Equinox on Sunday where we made mini brooms for spring cleaning and protection and enjoyed hot cross buns (that unfortunately were neither hot, nor had a cross π )
Our next circle is to celebrate Beltane!
