Community

Community is really important to me - I love taking yoga to whoever wants it, by teaching in community spaces and with sliding scale pricing wherever I can.

When I first moved to Glasgow I didn’t know anyone, and joining the queer yoga classes at Category is Books made me feel at home and allowed me to meet like minded people. It was this feeling that inspired me to do my first yoga training and start teaching so that I could provide that space for others and share the wonders of yoga in an accessible way. I now have the pleasure of teaching at Category is Books and a really important part of these classes is that everyone has time to get to know each other and chat over a cup of tea!

Cyclical & Seasonal practice

I align my own practice to the moon cycles and my own menstrual cycle. I bring this into public classes by changing up the pace and themes of classes depending on what phase the moon is in. Around a full moon we’ll do more energetic & fluid flows, and around a new moon we’ll be more chilled out and restorative. You can find out more about this here.

The seasons of the year also influence my practice & teachings, and I love celebrating each season as it comes around with yoga, community sharing circles and other witchy fun!

Off the mat

Outside of yoga I work in HR at a charity, nanny for a couple of families around the Southside, and create social media content and admin support for other yogis and yoga studios - I like to have a busy diary! I love cooking, crafting, reading, board games, looking after my plants, hiking, travelling & going to festivals. I also have 2 house rabbits who really enjoy chewing yoga mats!

Through all of this I try to stay connected to the present moment, which is the biggest lesson that my yoga & mindfulness practice has taught me. Yoga is so much more than physical poses in a class, it’s a mindset and a way of life, and it’s a constant practice - I’m not perfect and I never expect anyone who practices with me to be either.

My Training

I have completed over 500 hours of yoga teacher trainings & qualifications.
